Care To Caregiver is focused on the Unpaid Family Caregiver’s health and wellbeing. Providing access to resources, education, journey guides and words of encouragement discreetly through Texting, website and smart technology tools.
We help the unpaid and unprepared daughters, sons, mothers, fathers, friends, and neighbors who are caregivers with everything they need to know as caregivers.
We are addressing the most overlooked, silent patient, the unpaid family caregiver. With 45M informal caregivers in the US, 50% are diagnosed with depression. Eight out of 10 are asking for information and help. By 2030 the need for unpaid family caregivers will double. When there is no effective support system that is easy to access, convenient, and completely focused in the caregiver’s wellbeing who do they call? Where do they go? They call 9-1-1 and head to the emergency room.
Most caregivers are working full time, raising kids, and living life on top of working an average of 25 hours/week in providing care for their loved one. They are isolated, not exposed to the resources and services that are available to help them.
- We go where the caregivers go and we offer quick and easy access by pushing links, checklists, Do-It-Yourself tips, video, documents and direct connections to agencies through text messaging.
- We answer: “If only I had known!”. We provide localized directories, agencies, education and resources that have been vetted, qualified, rated.
- The journey guides prepare any kind of caregiver for what’s in store. We answer questions before the Caregiver realizes what to ask.
- We uniquely address the behavioral/mental health of caregivers.
“Where Health Leads, Prosperity Follows”.
Our program repays each community in social and economic impacts. We will measure outcomes that include reduction of 9-1-1 calls and Emergency room visits. Addressing behavioral health, we keep caregivers healthy and able to give good care and out of the healthcare system. This reimburses our community in decreased job-loss, increased productivity, and reduced healthcare spending, fostering Aging-In-Place and lessening family dysfunction.
